The Role 

As Pharma Business Development Consultant, you will leverage your deep industry network to generate high-value introductions and qualified sales opportunities in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. This role is ideal for someone with strong scientific credibility in proteomics and mass spectrometry workflows, coupled with a proven track record of opening doors with senior decision-makers.

This is a commission-based role, rewarded directly for qualified opportunity creation and successful handoffs that result in revenue. Based on measurable impact and ROI, this position may transition into a full-time role in 2026.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Network Activation: Leverage an extensive network of pharma and biotech contacts—especially heads of proteomics/mass spectrometry cores, core facility directors, and senior R&D leaders—to secure high-value meetings.
  • Technical Credibility: Speak confidently to the scientific and technical advantages of Syncell’s Microscoop® platform, demonstrating how it accelerates drug discovery, biomarker development, and other key initiatives.
  • Opportunity Generation: Create qualified sales opportunities for the commercial team with a focus on high-impact accounts in San Francisco, San Diego, Boston, and Europe.
  • Early-Stage Engagement: Conduct discovery meetings to assess needs, align capabilities, and position the sales team for success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and applications teams to ensure smooth, high-quality handoffs.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate reporting of outreach, meetings, and opportunity status.

The Role

As a Sr. Product / Segment Marketing Manager, you will lead global downstream commercial efforts for the Syncell Microscoop® instrument, reagents, and services. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and retention across key segments and research areas. This role requires deep market knowledge, cross-functional collaboration with sales, technical support and R&D teams, and the ability to translate customer insights into impactful marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has a mix of both product and segment marketing experience.

 

Key Product Marketing Responsibilities

  • Growth & Retention Strategies: Lead and execute marketing strategies for both on-market and new products.
  • Customer Segmentation & Positioning: Define target segments, customer personas, and messaging to drive effective marketing and sales enablement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: KOL development, and field engagement with Sales to capture voice of customer. Deep understanding of Pharma preferred.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, gather customer insights, and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement business plans in collaboration with product management and sales to drive funnel growth and segment prioritization.
  • Sales Enablement: Create impactful sales tools and customer-facing assets in collaboration with product management.

Key Segment Marketing Responsibilities

  • Global Commercial Marketing: Work with Director of Global Marketing to drive marketing efforts for Microscoop, ensuring prioritization, execution, and efficiency.
  • Campaign Execution & Performance: Plan, execute, and report on full-funnel, omnichannel campaigns using a data-driven approach to optimize tactics and achieve revenue targets.

 

What You Bring

  • Education: BS in Life Sciences; MS or PhD highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of product and segment marketing experience in life sciences, proteomics, or NGS.
  • Skills: Strong ability to build relationships across functions and levels, with exceptional communication and influence skills.
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and marketing initiatives.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate APAC/EMEA time zones, with a focus on evening collaboration with Taiwan.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 30%, including trips to Taiwan.

The Role

As the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing at Syncell, you will execute and optimize our digital marketing programs to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. This role spans SEO/SEM, paid media, social media management, and lead tracking in Salesforce (SFDC). You will plan, execute, and analyze campaigns across multiple channels while maintaining strong relationships with third-party media partners. This position requires a balance of strategic planning, hands-on execution, and data-driven decision-making to maximize marketing ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • SEO/SEM Management: Work with and manage agency to optimize website and paid campaign performance. Execute on tactics that need internal implementation.
  • Third-Party Media: Plan, negotiate, and manage relationships with media vendors to maximize visibility and return on investment.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Develop digital marketing plans, manage budgets, and execute campaigns on time and within scope.
  • Social Media:
    • Content: Maintain and execute a content calendar across multiple corporate platforms, ensuring consistent posting and engagement, and alignment with brand voice and marketing goals.
    • Social Listening: Monitor conversations, trends, and brand mentions to identify opportunities for engagement and reputation management.
    • Paid Social Campaigns: Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant networks.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance to inform optimization and future strategy.
  • Lead Management in SFDC: Monitor, track, and manage marketing-generated leads in Salesforce to ensure timely follow-up and accurate attribution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to align digital activities with broader commercial objectives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in life sciences or B2B technology sectors.
  • Fundamental understanding of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and paid advertising platforms.
  • Hands-on experience managing campaigns in LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience managing leads in Salesforce (SFDC) or a similar CRM.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Language: Fluent in English and German. French and/or Dutch preferred.
  • Skills: Strong background in tissue-based workflows and spatial biology, with exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Customer First: Proven track record of being a customer advocate and partner who collaborates with their customers to accelerate their science.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to travel up to 50% for customer site visits and events within the DACH region.

As a Sr. Field Applications Scientist (FAS), you will be a trusted partner for researchers in China, helping them unlock the full potential of Syncell’s Microscoop® platform. You will support customers from their first exposure to our technology through adoption, training, and long-term success. Your role combines deep scientific expertise with customer-facing experience, ensuring users can apply our platform to answer complex questions in spatial biology and proteomics.

This position is field-based in China and requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, , and the ability to collaborate across scientific, commercial, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Syncell’s Microscoop® platform, including sample preparation, instrumentation, workflows, and data analysis.
  • Customer Support: Onboard, train, and provide ongoing technical support to new and existing customers, ensuring high-quality scientific outcomes.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with sales colleagues in China to qualify opportunities, provide technical pre-sales consultations, and contribute to revenue goals.
  • Applications Development: Advise on experimental design and workflow optimization to maximize customer results.
  • Customer Advocacy: Capture customer feedback and work with internal teams (R&D, product, support) to improve product performance and user experience.
  • Presentations & Training: Deliver compelling demonstrations, seminars, and workshops to showcase the scientific value of the Microscoop® platform.
  • KOL Engagement: Collaborate with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in academia, pharma, and biotech to expand Syncell’s visibility in China’s life sciences ecosystem.
  • Market Expansion: Contribute to commercial strategies in China by collaborating with the APAC sales and business development teams.
  • Distributor Enablement: Manage and support distributor Field Application Scientists by providing technical training, sharing best practices, and ensuring consistent messaging and scientific expertise across Syncell’s extended team. Act as an escalation point for complex customer questions and work with distributor FASs to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify, document, and resolve customer issues in close coordination with Syncell’s support and R&D groups.

 

What You Bring

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, PhD preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of lab experience in proteomics, microscopy, and/or mass spectrometry, with commercial experience as a Field Applications Scientist.
  • Language: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
  • Skills: Strong background in tissue-based workflows and spatial biology, with exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Customer First: Proven track record of being a customer advocate and partner who collaborates with their customers to accelerate their science.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to travel up to 50% for customer site visits, conferences, and events across China.
