The Role 

As a (Sr.) Territory Sales Executive – EMEA, you will play a key role in expanding Syncell’s presence across the region by introducing the Microscoop® platform and consumables to leading research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and biotech organizations. This field-based position requires strong technical expertise and business acumen to engage customers, drive adoption, and accelerate sales growth. You will develop and execute sales strategies, working closely with technical teams to ensure customer success.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Opportunity Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, employing rigorous territory planning and market analysis to drive growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Consult with customers to understand their scientific projects and business needs, demonstrating technical credibility and providing tailored solutions.
  • Sales Execution: Build and execute effective sales plans, ensuring accurate forecasting and meeting revenue targets.
  • Collaborative Selling: Partner with Field Applications Specialists to provide seamless support to customers and enhance credibility.
  • Market Expansion: Drive business growth by engaging key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other influential stakeholders.
  • CRM Management: Maintain detailed and timely updates in the CRM system to support forecasting and internal communication.
  • Customer Advocacy: Take ownership of the sales process, focusing on long-term customer success and satisfaction.

 

What You Bring 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, histology); advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years in sales, with a proven track record in capital equipment and consultative selling.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to travel extensively within the territory (50%+), a strong desire to win business, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

The Role

The Senior Scientist will lead and manage Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects at our Livermore laboratory.  You will also be responsible for applications development and experiments that will be used in the future for marketing material.  This role will have to also manage the day-to-day of the lab by understanding the necessary inventory, ordering reagents/instruments, and coordinating with the Taiwan team in evening hours. This role is crucial in validating innovative concepts through rigorous scientific experimentation, data analysis, and interpretation. You will collaborate closely with Commercial, R&D, Engineering, Product Management, and our global teams to accelerate the transition from research concepts to commercially viable products and services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead the design, execution, and management of proof-of-concept experiments, ensuring robust methodologies and timely completion.
  • Scientific Execution: Perform hands-on experimental work, guide junior scientists, and ensure accurate, reproducible results.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze experimental data rigorously, interpreting results to determine project feasibility and guide future research direction.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Clearly document methods, data, and conclusions in internal reports, scientific publications, patent applications, and presentations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global teams, including R&D and Applications in Taiwan, ensuring alignment and smooth technology transfer.
  • Innovation and Strategic Insight: Maintain awareness of emerging trends in spatial biology and proteomics, proactively proposing innovative approaches.
  • Technical Expertise: You support our commercial team & customers as the subject matter expert for the Microscoop, assays, and software.
  • Experimental Design: Through you understanding of customer needs, you determine what data sets are needed and work creatively to achieve commercial goals. 

What You Bring

  • Education: PhD in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years industry experience managing and conducting advanced research projects, preferably in spatial proteomics or related fields.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex scientific projects, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in experimental design and execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with microscopy, spatial biology techniques, proteomics, or molecular biology methodologies.
  • Global Collaboration: Experience coordinating projects across international teams and different time zones preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic startup environment.

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist, you will support the financial operations of Syncell’s growing life sciences business. This critical role oversees budgeting, revenue projections, financial reporting, and strategic investment recommendations. You will collaborate with senior leadership and global teams to provide financial insights that drive business growth and operational efficiency. Your expertise in SAP financial systems will be instrumental in optimizing financial processes and supporting strategic decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze revenues, costs, and profitability, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to optimize performance.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with the CCO, CEO, Taiwan finance group, and product management teams to provide financial guidance on key business initiatives.
  • SAP Integration: Manage the implementation and optimization of SAP financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, KPIs, and dashboards to executive leadership, offering clarity on business performance.
  • Modeling: Develop financial models to support initiatives such as new product launches, capital expenditures, and operational improvements.
  • Compliance: Collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure financial compliance and integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in financial processes, reporting accuracy, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Financial Close Processes: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, maintaining compliance with internal controls and policies.

 

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, preferably in the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
  • Expertise: Proven ability in budget management, financial modeling, and forecasting, with extensive experience in SAP system integration.
  • Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Leadership: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Attributes: Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Sr. Product / Segment Marketing Manager, you will lead global downstream commercial efforts for the Syncell Microscoop® instrument, reagents, and services. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and retention across key segments and research areas. This role requires deep market knowledge, cross-functional collaboration with sales, technical support and R&D teams, and the ability to translate customer insights into impactful marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has a mix of both product and segment marketing experience.

 

Key Product Marketing Responsibilities

  • Growth & Retention Strategies: Lead and execute marketing strategies for both on-market and new products.
  • Customer Segmentation & Positioning: Define target segments, customer personas, and messaging to drive effective marketing and sales enablement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: KOL development, and field engagement with Sales to capture voice of customer. Deep understanding of Pharma preferred.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, gather customer insights, and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement business plans in collaboration with product management and sales to drive funnel growth and segment prioritization.
  • Sales Enablement: Create impactful sales tools and customer-facing assets in collaboration with product management.

Key Segment Marketing Responsibilities

  • Global Commercial Marketing: Work with Director of Global Marketing to drive marketing efforts for Microscoop, ensuring prioritization, execution, and efficiency.
  • Campaign Execution & Performance: Plan, execute, and report on full-funnel, omnichannel campaigns using a data-driven approach to optimize tactics and achieve revenue targets.

 

What You Bring

  • Education: BS in Life Sciences; MS or PhD highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of product and segment marketing experience in life sciences, proteomics, or NGS.
  • Skills: Strong ability to build relationships across functions and levels, with exceptional communication and influence skills.
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and marketing initiatives.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate APAC/EMEA time zones, with a focus on evening collaboration with Taiwan.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 30%, including trips to Taiwan.
