The Role

As a Field Applications Scientist, you will bridge the gap between sales and applications by introducing Syncell’s Microscoop® platform to researchers and supporting them throughout the customer journey. You will guide the Customer on their journey from learning about the Microscoop technology to being an expert user and advocate for our platform. Your technical expertise and customer-centric approach will play a key role in demonstrating how our technology addresses complex scientific questions and drives breakthroughs in spatial biology and proteomics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of Syncell’s Microscoop® platform, including sample preparation techniques, instrumentation, software, and integration.
  • Customer Support: Onboard, train, and support new customers, ensuring successful implementation and high-quality results.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with sales counterparts to achieve revenue targets by qualifying opportunities and providing pre-sales consultations.
  • Applications Development: Provide guidance on experimental design and data workflows, ensuring customers optimize system performance for their research.
  • Customer Advocacy: Collect and communicate feedback to internal teams to influence product development and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Presentations & Training: Deliver engaging product demonstrations, workshops, and seminars to educate and inspire potential customers.
  • KOL Engagement: Help identify and engage key opinion leaders (KOLs) to expand Syncell’s presence in the scientific community.
  • Market Expansion: Collaborate with the sales team to develop territory sales and business development plans.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Document and resolve customer issues in collaboration with Syncell’s support and R&D teams.

What You Bring

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, PhD preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of lab experience in proteomics, microscopy, and/or mass spectrometry, with some commercial experience as a Field Applications Scientist.
  • Skills: Strong background in tissue-based workflows and spatial biology, with a background in proteomics and mass spec analysis. Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Customer First: Proven track record of being a customer advocate and partner who collaborates with their customers to accelerate their science.
  • Other Requirements: Fluent in English and German (preferred). Ability to travel up to 50% for customer site visits and events.
