With Thermo Fisher Deal, Commercial Expansion, Syncell Pushing Uptake of Spatial Proteomics Tech

2025 / 08 / 14

Syncell has announced a strategic comarketing partnership with Thermo Fisher Scientific, expanding global access to high-resolution spatial proteomics. Through this collaboration, Syncell’s Microscoop® platform is highlighted for use with Thermo Fisher’s Orbitrap Astral™ mass spectrometers, enabling researchers to seamlessly pair microscopy-guided protein extraction with industry-leading MS performance. The partnership combines Syncell’s precision, optically defined proteome isolation with Thermo Fisher’s global commercial footprint and installed proteomics base — accelerating adoption of unbiased, proteome-scale discovery workflows in both fresh and FFPE tissue.

The article highlights how this integration enables scientists to move beyond antibody panels and traditional laser capture microdissection toward streamlined, untargeted spatial proteomics for oncology, translational research, and drug discovery applications. With growing traction in pharmaceutical markets and new reagent innovations aimed at achieving sub-100 nm resolution, Syncell and Thermo Fisher together are advancing the next generation of high-precision proteomic analysis.
