Description

The cell surface proteome – the surfaceome – is a critical interface for signaling, adhesion, immune recognition, and therapeutic targeting, yet it remains incompletely characterized due to its dynamic composition and the transient, heterogeneous nature of many membrane-associated proteins. Surface glycoconjugates labeled with WGA-AF488 guide automated ROI detection, enabling Microscoop® to confine biotin tagging to membrane regions. The merged XY and Z-axis views using confocal microscopy confirm that biotinylation is restricted to the plasma membrane, reflecting selective capture of surfaceome-associated proteins.
