Description

Does the astrocyte proteome vary in different regions of the brain responsible for different neuron supporting functions? Using Syncell’s Microscoop, one can photo-biotinylate proteins in entire astrocyte cells with high specificity and compare those constituents in the cortex to the hippocampal region. We can reveal astrocyte markers that are specific to anatomical location and subtype these cells based on the protein expression.
