Scientist, Cell Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist in cell biology to join our biology R&D team. The main role of this position is to perform cell biology experiments to facilitate the downstream proteome identification using our world-leading Microscoop technology. The major tasks involve optimization of experimental conditions for different project needs. You will enjoy the challenges from different types of cell biology problems from collaborators all over the world.
Responsibilities • Perform cell culture • Perform high-content epifluorescence and confocal imaging • Perform stable cell line generation and selection • Perform genomic editing, molecular biology, and biochemistry experiments • Optimize cell treatment conditions for specific cell biology problems • Work with chemists and biologists to support development of products and execution of contracted research services • Collaborate with team members and other project staff to accomplish specific tasks and team objectives within project timelines • Deliver presentations and effectively communicate with other staff • Design and write standard operating procedures (SOP) related to product research and development • Perform other tasks as needed Qualifications • Master’s Degree or above in biology, cell biology, biochemistry (for biologists) or related fields • 2+ years of experience in immunofluorescence staining, microscopy imaging, and basic image analysis is required • Hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular cloning, western blot, plasmid transfection etc. are preferred • 2+ years of industry experience in biotechnology or related field is preferred • Strong ability to solve technical problems • Ability to work on multiple projects with evolving priorities and deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good English skill is a plus • Ability to create clear reports and documentation • Self-initiative and able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment Why Syncell?
